About Me

CBT & Integrative Therapy — Neuro‑affirming, evidence‑based, and accessible support from a BABCP‑accredited therapist.

Who I Am:

I’m Rebecca Labrum, a BABCP‑accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist with specialist experience supporting children, young people, and adults. My work is grounded in evidence‑based practice, neuro‑affirming values, and a deep commitment to creating safe, collaborative spaces where people feel understood and empowered.

I bring over a decade of experience across CAMHS, education, and community settings, and I currently offer therapy and clinical supervision online.

My Approach:

My therapeutic style is warm, curious, and collaborative. I work using Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy (also known as CBT) and integratively, drawing on a range of evidence‑based models to tailor therapy to each person’s developmental stage, strengths, and needs.

My practice is shaped by:

  • Neuro‑affirming principles: I support clients to understand their brains, honour their differences, and build on their strengths—never to “mask” or fit a mould.
  • Trauma‑informed care: Safety, pacing, and choice are central to every session.
  • Developmentally sensitive practice: I adapt therapy for children and young people using creative, visual, and interactive methods.
  • Compassionate, non‑pathologising language: I focus on what’s going on for someone, not what’s “wrong” with them.

My goal is always to help clients make sense of their experiences, process their emotions and experiences, develop practical tools and move towards lives that feel meaningful and manageable.

Who I work with:

I support:

  • Adults
  • Children and young people aged 8+
  • Parents and caregivers for support/coaching around their roles as parents/caregivers
  • Neurodivergent clients (diagnosed or self‑identified)
  • Individuals experiencing a wide range of difficulties including anxiety, low mood, OCD, trauma, perfectionism, self‑criticism, phobias, difficulties with self‑esteem etc.
  • Young people navigating school stress, identity, friendships, and emotional regulation
  • CBT Therapists, EMHP's, CWPs and Integrative Therapists seeking clinical supervision/clinical skills supervision.

I also work closely with professionals in education, social care, and mental health who want to better understand and support neurodivergent young people.

My Values:

  • Collaboration – Therapy works best when we build it together.
  • Transparency – I explain models, share formulations, and make the process clear.
  • Kindness – Change happens in safe, compassionate relationships.
  • Curiosity – I approach every client with openness and respect for their lived experience.
  • Empowerment – My aim is to help people understand themselves and feel confident using tools outside the therapy room.

Training & Qualifications:

I am committed to ongoing professional development and evidence‑based practice. My training includes:

  • PG Dip in Evidence‑Based Psychological Therapies - CBT (CYP IAPT)
  • MSc Forensic Psychology
  • MSc Psychology
  • BA (Hons) Criminology & Psychology
  • PG Cert in Clinical Supervision
  • Additional training in trauma‑informed practice, neurodevelopmental conditions, and working with behaviours of concern

I am fully accredited with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP).

Why I Do This Work:

I believe that therapy should feel accessible, collaborative, and genuinely supportive. Young people and adults alike deserve spaces where they can explore their experiences without judgement, understand their minds and bodies, and develop skills/tools that actually fit their lives.

It’s a privilege to walk alongside people as they make sense of their stories, reconnect with their strengths, and build futures that feel possible.
